12 Days of Stress Relief - List Your Accomplishments

This time of year our “To-Do” lists can get even more overwhelming and longer than usual. Not only do we have to do the everyday things, but we have to do all the holiday things as well: Working more hours, school functions, holiday parties, etc. So, I challenge you to stop looking at your unfinished “To Do” list and see all the stuff that HASN'T been done but look at all the things you HAVE done, especially if it was a surprise task that was not on your list.

So your “To-Do” list may have 16 things, but you spent 3 hours snuggling with your kid on the couch watching YouTube videos or Netflix, you did something. You created a memory that they will remember. So what if the toilet didn’t get scrubbed today, and you took time out of your day to do something just as or more important? Count those accomplishments, or add them to your to-do list and cross it off!

Another thing you can do is to look at your to-do list and prioritize, especially as it gets closer to Christmas. What is most important, and what is what you would LIKE to get accomplished? And if all you did was survive the day to live again till tomorrow, GOOD FOR YOU! I am proud of you!
